The fastest way to get started with Apptim is by downloading our free desktop app and running a test on your app, using your own Android/iOS device.

1 - Start your download by going to this link and signing up for a free account.

Once you have created your account, you will be able to download Apptim Desktop for Mac or Windows. Choose your operative system, wait for the download to be completed, open the file (.dmg or .zip) and follow the steps shown in the screen to complete the installation.

2 - After installation, launch the app and complete the tutorial.

Then, connect your Android or iOS device with the app you want to test using an USB cable or Wi-Fi.

Note: For Android devices, ensure that USB debugging is enabled. If this is the first time connecting the device, follow our guide for Android devices.

3 - You made it! 🥳 With your device connected and configured, select your mobile platform by clicking on its logo.

4 - Apptim will automatically detect connected phones and their installed apps. Simply select the desired device and app from the list.

Remember to give the test a descriptive name for easy identification.

You can start the performance recording by clicking the Play button.

Note: For Android devices, a video recording of the test execution will be included in the report. If you want to disable this feature just turn off the Capture video toggle.

5 - To end the recording, click the Stop button.

6 - Congratulations, you have completed your first test! 🎉

The Test History will open after the execution.

To view the results, open the Apptim report by clicking on the test name.
